Swedish:

A massage technique combined with a system of active and passive exercises for the muscles and joints. This type of massage is designed to manipulate soft tissues of the body, and relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and working them in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. This may help to increase oxygen flow in the blood while reducing toxins in the muscles.

Deep Tissue:

A massage technique generally designed for more focused massage work to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. Deep tissue focuses on the deeper layers of muscles, stressing one particular area at a time. It may help to reduce chronic tension from the body’s muscles through the use of slow strokes and deep pressure.

Pregnancy:

A specialized massage technique developed for the safety of the mother and developing baby. The mother’s body must be properly positioned and supported during the massage, using pillows and padding. Pregnancy massage has been found to reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs, and relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints.

WHAT IS LEAP THERAPY?

LEAP stands for Lifestyle Eating and Performance.

The LEAP Program helps individuals determine their food sensitivities and provides guidelines for healthy eating. A Certified LEAP Therapist is a specially trained dietitian, who has specific knowledge in the area of food sensitivities and the ability to utilize MRT blood testing to make defined fueling plans that help to aid in symptom relief for many conditions, including, but not limited to, migraines, IBS, and fibromyalgia.

Diet can be the most important aspect of getting better and staying better for many conditions. Combining dietary counseling and the individualized results of the MRT food sensitivity testing can help to alleviate chronic health conditions.

Clinical trials, numerous studies, and client results show that clients, who are appropriately screened for this testing and undergo dietary therapy, benefit tremendously with significant improvement in symptoms and performance.

A four to six-week MRT and LEAP Program includes initial consultation, MRT testing, nutritional counseling/dietary therapy, and, if needed, a maintenance program. The initial consultation involves an assessment of your nutritional concern, symptoms, and determination if the MRT test and LEAP program is appropriate for you.

WHAT IS MRT TESTING?

Mediator release is the direct cause of multiple symptoms experienced in immune mediated food chemical sensitivities. The MRT (Mediator Release Test) accurately isolates which specific foods and/or additives provoke any form of non-IgE mediated hypersensitivity reactions. It is a common end-point, whole blood assay. The non-IgE mediated reactions cause release of pro-inflammatory and pain causing mediators throughout all organ systems and then systemically throughout the body, creating multiple symptoms.

Examples of these symptoms include: chronic headaches, fatigue, muscle and joint pain, diarrhea or constipation, sinus problems, bloating, gas, and other gastrointestinal issues.

MRT Testing has also shown food sensitivity issues in persons who have autism, ADD, arthritis, GERD, chronic cough, sinusitis, insomnia, and weight imbalances. MRT Testing and the LEAP Program have also been successful in helping world-class athletes perform at their best.
